African Studies (AFST) has the status of a Minor Field of study for students registered in a either a Major or Honours degree program in the Faculty of Communication & Culture or in a Faculty such as Humanities, Science or Social Sciences. |

African Studies examines different aspects of African societies from historical and contemporary perspectives. It does this by integrating ideas from a variety of disciplines, including
