The Minor in Architectural Studies (ARST) is designed as a pre-professional degree option for those students wishing to pursue the Master of Architecture (MArch) program at the U of C, or other related graduate design programs. The Minor also provides a good foundation if you are planning to study other design-related programs offered at the U of C or elsewhere. |

What is the Minor in Architectural Studies (ARST)? |
The Minor in Architectural Studies includes courses equivalent to the first year of the Faculty of Environmental Design's four year Master of Architecture professional degree programClasses in the Minor program are shared with students in the MArch program. Preparation for Applying to the Faculty of Environmental Design |
![]() If you have completed the Minor in ARST (or a similar pre-professional degree) and are admitted to the Faculty of Environmental Design, you may proceed directly to the second year of the MArch program. This means that you may obtain a professional Master of Architecture degree in seven years after graduation from high school. |
