April = Hunting Season

I cannot believe it is already April. Where did this semester go?!
I was on the phone with mom last week and she started asking about my plans for the summer. I'm glad she brought it up ... it is a topic I have been avoiding and dreading. I do have to find a job. But not just a job, a job I love.
I emailed the friendly neighbourhood CnC Career Advisor (David Cataford) on Friday asking for some direction. He emailed back right away (gotta love that), and pointed me to the Career Services website.
I was shocked when I saw that there were almost 200 job postings for summer student positions! And over 500 job postings all together (including part time positions, summer internships, and contract work). This website is another reason I love our university. They want to see us succeed! They make our job hunt so easy. We don't have to do any leg work...just surf through these jobs at home on our own time.
I have an appointment with David later this afternoon. He's going to review some of the postings with me and give me some pointers on my cover letters (apparently they are supposed to be catered towards every company you apply to).
Wish me luck blog readers. Hopefully I will be going on an interview soon!
