Research Interests
Lyndsay Campbell has a Ph.D. in Jurisprudence & Social Policy from the University of California, Berkeley. Her dissertation was entitled "Truths and Consequences: The Legal and Extralegal Regulation of Expression in Massachusetts and Nova Scotia, 1820-1840." She also holds an LL.M. and an LL.B. from the University of British Columbia and is a non-practising member of the B.C. Bar. Her current research is on instances of legal and extralegal regulation in nineteenth-century Canada and the United States, especially the regulation of obscene or immoral expression.
