Home Grown Local Food and the Calgary Stampede

Home Grown? Local Food and the Calgary Stampede

Submitted by support on Thu, 2008-07-10 16:06.
Much more than rides and chuck wagons, the Calgary Stampede is historically linked to Alberta's agricultural industries. With that in mind, Brian Rusted and Gwendolyn Blue, professors in the Faculty of Communication and Culture, say eating local involves more than Alberta beef. Rusted and Blue will discuss eating your way through the 2008 Calgary Stampede. What is local, what is not, how would you know and why should you care about eating local?
