iCulture and iDentity: Dean Discusses Debate over Digital Devices

Kath PodOn Tuesday, September 26 Communication and Culture Dean Kathleen Scherf kicked off the Fall season of Ruby Tuesday lectures, with a discussion of Podentity.  The talk was greeted by an attentive crowd at the Siding Cafe, located at Calgary's new Art Central complex. 

Podentity explored a range of issues surrounding ipods and iCulture - from the cult of iPods, to changing relationships with media and information technologies to the Rolling Stones, just to name a few.  To download the full Podentity podcast, click here.

The talk concluded with a discussion of a podcasting project piloted by the University of Calgary.  Dubbed Project iU, the pilot experiments with podcasting as a new course delivery mechanism for 4 test courses.  The project kicked off this summer with iCOMS 201
