Vision for the Future

Mission

Through interdisciplinary teaching, research and service, and leadership on- and off-campus, we build bridges between diverse disciplines, communities, and cultures thereby transforming ideas into actions.

Vision

By 2014, the Faculty of Communication and Culture will be an internationally recognized centre for interdisciplinary instruction, research and methodology.

All our programs will be respected for the development of scholars and scholarship that have a critical impact on communities, governments, media and global societies.

We will offer interdisciplinary degrees at the undergraduate, master’s and doctoral levels. We will contribute to the academic mission of the University of Calgary. Students and faculty from across Canada, and beyond, will seek to be involved in our innovative Faculty.
